MICK DITTMAN
Mick Dittman was born in 1952 in Rockhampton, Queensland and became one of
Australia's most outstanding jockeys. After a successful career in Brisbane winning five
Jockey Premierships he moved to Sydney where he worked for trainer T.J. Smith. Together
they formed one of the most successful trainer-jockey teams. Mick Dittman was widely known
as "The Enforcer" winning more than 1,700 races including one Melbourne Cup.
